Metro

Today was a wonderful sunny day but i'm going to post a picture of the subway(we call it "metro") because i hadn't a chance to take a shot today because i'm working, when i work during the day i always use the subway, with gasoline price near the value of gold i love the subway(Eric don't like it even with this reason), i only use my car when i work during night because subway stops working at 1am.

Azulejos

This great tile work is from Capela da Almas, this church is from the 18th century but only in 1929 the whole exterior was coated with tiles, more info here.

Another challenge to beauty, the sky has conquered me in the last two days.

Amazing sky

Today the sky was amazing in the end of the day, black in front of me and yellow behind, you can see Lapa church with the yellow of the sun reflected.

Wash and dry

Some time ago someone asked me to show this amazing places were people used to wash and dry their clothes by hand, unfortunely i can't find one in full use but i got this one with a women putting clothes to dry.

Boavista roundabout

Monument to the heroes of the victory against Napoleonic Armies in Mouzinho de Albuquerque square but in Porto we all call it Boavista roundabout.

Bus line

If we had to write this in portuguese we would need the entire width of the road because bus is "autocarro".

Caretos

This sunday our streets were invaded by this creatures from Portugal and Spain, this ones were in the entrance of the city hall and were from Spain(i don't know which region they were), i took this picture just after yesterday's star. The tradition is a little different according to the regions but in the end the main purpose is to annoy someone, my favourite sport:-D

Little star

This is the another Portuguese pavement in front of the city hall but this red star is not a part of the main work, someone lucky noticed there was a hidden star and painted it with red, at least i think this is what happened!

Yes, almoust our taxis are Mercedes which is good to all. They used to be black and green on top but now some have that uniform cream color just like some countries in EU.
