
I will start this project with a photo taked in june 2004 from Guindais Funicular, in front we could see the marvelous two-level iron bridge - Luís I, links Porto with Vila Nova de Gaia. Most people commit two errors related to this bridge, first one and most common name "D Luis I" is wrong, the other mistake is who build it, it´s usual to hear the name of Gustave Eiffel but Téophile Seyrig was the designer.
Porto is known by his beautifull bridges, and i´m going to show them all here in the future, including this recovered Luis I, it still holds the record for the world's largest iron arch and recently was deeply recovered, this work started when this photo was taked.


and this was the case because i assume before living here i didn't know how intense and great is to live on this historical city with a 1,000-year history.
Meanwhile I have married, have a lovely daughter and settled downtown with no plans to move out. Since i'm not native my interest by Porto history has been always present from the 1st day i move, now is even more interesting because of this blog i pay more attention with some details that are now converted to big issues.
The idea of starting PortoDailyPhoto was at the moment i look at
